aqua lung, grand date........ or live dangerously, and get a perfect red sub. |

I'll chime in here, but I think it has way more to do with your own sense of personal style than your profession.
Good luck deciding. |

I'm the senior lawyer at my firm and do nothing but transactional work. I wear an Explorer 1 around the office and a TT Submariner after hours.

Senior lawyer? Senior means age or post? If it is age then choose watch with simple dial, chronograph might not be the best since it has too many circles and hard for an old man to see clearly in some environment. Further, lawyer in different practice might choose differently, steel bracelet will present solid confidence to litigant whereas leather bracelet might suit a commercial lawyer. I myself, would prefer day date though I only have DJII.

If you're a personal injury lawyer, no watch.
If your clients are corporate, DD, sky dweller, or any PP or AP :) |

Best watch for a lawyer?
This thread is still being commented on... I'd like to know what the OP decided on.
For everyone that is saying for professionals to hide their wealth (success) - the only time I agree with that is a landlord who collects rent from their tenants. Otherwise, if someone is "worth it," they shouldn't be scared to wear whatever they like. That's the problem with our society, many people are scared to show what they have for fear of being judged - when the only judgement should be of questioning how one did it and if a young associate wants to be like the partner, follow in their footsteps. Drink the same water, eat the same food, work the same hours. There shouldn't be any shame in having achieved success. |

Hamilton Jazzmaster to wear in front of clients or office
Then buy a Rolex DJ II or GMTII or Daytona for when you need to show your success to your buddys and family. If you keep it down to earth with your clients, you will get more business, but again it depends who your clients are... If your clients are like Justin Bieber and the like, by all means out watch them...

I wear many different ones in my work. Today it's this one. And yes, I'm working today. Trying to get a new job, or get a fledgling firm off the ground, one or the other, else you'll see me lots in the FS section.

I would avoid a flashy or overly expensive watch, your clients will think you're earning too much, and thats not good. But then you dont want a crappy one either coz then they would think youre not getting business! A 2nd hand patek or something like an explorer I, or GMT would be good I think.

Many choices for this purpose. However, I would expect my lawyer to have a Rolex president in 18K YG. A good backup would be 18K YG Submariner.
Cheers, -GH

I am a solo practitioner and I wear a tt datejust with jubilee band on dressy days. I also wear a tt submariner blue dial and a navitimer on sporty days.
