The GMT Master is next up in the professional series for an update. It's about due with the development of their new movement. First was Daytona, then Sea Dweller, 2018 GMT Master and Sub in 2019 or 2020 (Rolex may add the Explorer 2 update any one of the years.

I'd expect to see a GMT Master with 3286 this year or next at the latest. Rolex will need to make the BLRO update different than the RONR coke update. Reason being, ceramic bezels aren't interchangeable. If you produce 2 bi-color ceramic bezel GMT Masters in SS, you risk valuation issues. To compensate Rolex needs to make the offerings differentiated.

More likely:

New GMT Master in SS with Coke bezel, red GMT hand, 3286
New GMT Master in SS with Black Bezel, red GMT hand, 3286
New GMT Master in YG with Green bezel, Green sunburst, green GMT hand, 3286

and the big surprise:
New GMT Master in Platinum with Pepsi bezel in cherry and cobalt, red GMT hand, 3286
-Bright Red Blue too expensive to release for years, Platinum allows Rolex to recoup production costs that they can't with SS. WG BLRO was just released, so WG will be left alone for a while

So, if they release exact looking Pepsi model in SS with color correction, why would anyone ever buy the WG watch with purple/ pink pepsi instead of real pepsi. In that scenario.. the watch value will not rise at all for the discontinued model. Every Discontinued Model price doesn't sky rich key especially if it was a slow mover.

And you know this ? or is it another suposition ? To me it would be the perfect smart move for the GMT lineup.

Yes, please. Hello, Rolex, you can have my money now. How much!? That's criminal. Fine. Just take it.

If they come out with the new Coke the BLNR would have some real competition

No? What about other soft drinks? How about Fanta (orange and blue)? Dr. Pepper (maroon and white)? Mountain Dew (green and red)? Sprite (blue and green)? I'm running out of sodas here.

True story.
But what happened to the DJII when the 41 was intro'd. It disappeared as if Rolex denied it ever existed. Things on the net have changed in 8 years.

For me I've never been a fan of the failed attempt of the BLRO to emulate the Pepsi. Seems like the Coke would have been easier. They've definitely got down Black and Red colors in ceramic.

BLRO is reportedly discontinued as of today!

Walked into Tourneau today out of curiosity to see what they had in the case. Needless to say, not much. I heard someone ask for a ceramic Daytona, . The only other sports models were 2 tone subs and gmts, the BLRO of course, and a few miscellaneous other ones. I said I heard they were discontinuing the BLRO to the salesman, he had no clue. But that’s par for the course. Walking into Tourneau is like going into a car dealership.

I’ve seen this picture floating around. It really does look nice. But truth be told I think I like my BLNR more. There’s something about the day/night theme that I really like. A little less loud too without the red.

I doubt Rolex would discontinue this just because it's a slow seller; they are preparing to replace it. I see three possible replacements:

1. Revised WG BLRO (with brighter colors like many would like): I don't see this possibility as being likely, as, while I don't think they'd discontinue the WG BLRO solely for slow sales, I don't think they'd put the effort into slightly changing the bezel color for such a slow seller.

2. WG RONR: I think there's a better chance that this happens than revising the BLRO colors, but I still don't think it's very likely, as this color combination probably won't sell much differently in WG than the BLRO did.

3. SS BLRO or RONR: I see one of these -- RONR, more specifically, as they haven't yet done it for this generation -- as the most likely scenario. A SS RONR would definitely hurt sales of the WG BLRO and I don't think it would make sense to have both of them in production at the same time. While I think it is possible that they come out with a BLRO in SS, I don't see them doing it so soon after discontinuing the WG model, as that would make it literally impossible to sell remaining inventory.

Lastly, I'll just leave this photo here:

That Coke looks real nice. I have a BLNR and I don't know if I would add the Coke. Would be interesting to see if BLNR owners would add a Coke or replace BLNR with the Coke.

AD never lies. They also told me Green Sub is limited to 1 yr production. So all Green Sub out there except for that year are fake :)

I like blue a lot more than red so I would not be interested in the coke. I've owned the blnr a couple of times and would buy again in the right situation.

I absolutely love my BLRO, and I’d be delighted if it were discontinued!

this is actually an interesting thought that nobody has brought up (and for the record, i doubt it happens) but wouldnt that be the shock of the decade if the BLRO and BLNR ceased production and they released a recased, new movement SS Pepsi and Coke models at Basel.

hey, i can dream.

If it looked exactly like that with brushed SS then I'll definitely add to my BLNR/LV duo.
