Joined the club - absolutely in love with this one, could see it being my primary wear for many years to come.
I did find that sizing the oysterflex straps wasn't trivial - my wrist is a touch under 7" and D/F was the correct fit. Even though E/F on tighter clasp setting technically fit (and is what would be the default size for a Daytona), having the 12 o'clock strap on the tighter clasp setting isn't ideal as it's sandwiched between the inner folding part of the clasp and outer shell, while the 6 o'clock strap is allowed to rotate freely, resulting in a bit of an awkward fit with the watch shifting up on the wrist/clasp down. I think for this setup you want to have the 12 o'clock strap link on the middle (with easy link extended) or outermost setting for optimal fit, with strap lengths selected accordingly. |
