Congrats! My AD sent me this picture while I was out of town. It will be in my hands this week. Can’t wait to see it in person.

Yep, I did, but I put a deposit down back in May after Basleworld, with 25% discount.

I was offered one last week by one of their boutiques that I visited while in Europe early this summer. They are still around if you are looking for one.

Oh.. and I'm going to start checking Chrono24 to see who's reselling. I think we all expect depreciation on this model, no Breitling sells above resell, but this is the one model chronograph that has always excited me... Although, if the breguet type xx was a column wheel, I might prefer that one...

So did I except I didn't get a 25% discount, paid 100% retail + tax up front, in March! I just called them and they contacted their Breitling rep and were given a non committal answer

I would say yes. Quite impressed with the pin buckle also that's mostly brushed but also has a polished cut mimicking the design of the lugs.

I know it’s a bit smaller, but looks like lug to lug, about the same size as the 43mm navi now.

Spoke with my guy about the platinum and he sent me the below via text:

Gorgeous but not different enough for me to spring $40k on blue variant when the buckle itself is white gold. More inclined to shoot for the RG variant.

Wow, that is a gorgeous watch! I asked by AD ro order me a RG version to go with the SS version I previously ordered, but when I saw the panda dial on the RG version it was a turn-off. The 1959 Navitimers had the all black dials. Breitling stared to introduce the panda dials later, I believe in 1962. I will check with my AD about the possibility of ordering a Platinum version.

I received my 806 last week and couldn’t be happier. Definitely worth the wait.

A member already has one for sale here in the classifieds, might be able to work a deal with him?

Thanks, I will try my AD this weekend. I'm a bit disappointed that some are selling this directly after getting them. Its becoming impossible to get the watches I want directly from ADs.

I think if I cannot get this at the AD, I will not pay a premium to get it.
