I had a discussion about this with an AD near me. I mentioned that I prefer to appreciate a watch I buy ie actually wear it and enjoy it not just chuck it in the watch box and move on to the next target. The guy was a bit surprised but I think that was when he realised I wasn't a flipper and he became more helpful. I put in an EOI for a couple of things and he has been honest about my chances the whole time.

I have no issues with the way you collect and like others wish I can do the same. However I question this piece of advice. If you have the means which you do, why not work with multiple ADs in a large market. You work with just one it's likely you're going to wait a long time to amass any type of collection, theyd call you once maybe twice a year with something worthwhile...rest of the times they call it'll be for YMs, DDs, PM SkyDs, TT DJs.
