Should be interesting, for sure. My AD pulled a YG DD with diamond bezel and champagne baguette dial from the back for me this past weekend, so buckle your seat belt.

BTW, I was serious about the Rainbow Daytona, too!

Not everyone is quite that cynical. (And don’t tell me it’s not cynical, but “just realistic”. It’s cynical.)

Would be a fun youtube or tiktok video if you're able to film the interaction/sale.

Love it. I would enjoy a Yachtmaster rose gold oysterflex, Reference 126655. It would stay on my wrist, as well. Quite the offer!!

Maybe. But some cynicism is healthy, especially with financial matters. So let's see how this little social experiment goes. OP please report back.

OP, hat's off to you for presuming the best and blazing a trail.

What if they took you into the back and opened their safe and said "your choice!"? They, in theory, offered you anything and everything. You'll have to buy the entire safe for us boys and girls on TRF!

Wednesday Night Update on The Challenge

Just to recap, the challenge was:

1. Walk into the AD
2. If I get offered anything, I have to buy it - no matter what it is.
3. If I don't want it, pass it along to a Rolex-loving TRFer.

And now for the update...

First of all, before I even walk into the AD... based on the six pages of comments, I have a pretty good sense of what models are on the collective wish list of the TRF Community:

"Please get a [insert hot model here]!" Hot models = Batman, Pepsi, Daytona, Submariner, or OP36/41 with one of the harder-to-get dial colors, etc. No real surprises there. But that's part of the challenge -- getting a cool model and stealing it away from the flipper!

Now, I wouldn't call myself a VIP... but I'm definitely a known, vetted, and qualified Rolex lover. When I walk into the AD, the staff and management know me by name. So, I'm not just some flipper off the street.

After I walk in and the customary pleasantries are exchanged, it's time to get down to business. "What's new that you want to show me?"

AD: "We just received a shipment and it contains our first delivery of a new 2021 model. Interested?"

Me: Knowing that whatever they present I have to buy, I don't hesitate. I simply say, "Sure."

AD: AD comes back with the piece. "It's a XXXXXX, the first one we have received. Brand new for 2021. One of the first ones in the United States. It's yours if you want it."

Interestingly enough, this specific reference is NOT on the TRF Community collective wish list. Not a single person mentioned this exact model. And, it's not a piece on my wish list either. But, a deal is a deal. I said, "I'll take it."

I'm now in the possession of a brand new 2021 XXXXXX... but it doesn't have a permanent home. I'm purposely not sharing the reference number at this time... because I want to allow more time for SOMEONE/ANYONE to express their strong desire/love for this specific model in this thread. Please don't try to GUESS what it is. I want to hear from someone who sincerely wants this brand new for 2021 model on his/her wrist.

And that's where we are. To be continued......

I'm happy to respond to questions.

Cool OC !! The suspense is killing me!

Thanks for keeping your end of the bargain, now lets see if someone who genuinely want “THE PIECE” and is commited to buy it becomes the new owner (once paying for it, of course !! )

I have not read all the requests and assume someone has surely expressed interest in the white gold sub. Been looking for a while now.
