Two tone your first choice? Be honest.

I have full gold and two-tone models. I rarely wear my Smurf or full rose CHNR. They still look brand new. My daily is the tt rootbeer.

My first Rolex was a TT Datejust in 1987. Still have it been serviced once about 10 years back but hardly ever wear it.

Tough question. I wear the tt daily and rarely the full gold. The tt fits every occasion. So I guess it’s the tt. At least for now.

I have a TT Sub. I bought this because I wanted it, not the price or availability. Looks good without being looking like a bit of Bling. No offense.

Absolutely my first choice. I already had an all SS piece so I wanted some variation. 100% happy.

Definitely the Submariner 116613LB with the Blue Dial & Bezel. I owned this Watch in 2016 but in 2018 I traded it in for the T/T Daytona 116503 (New Model)
with the White MOP 8 Diamonds Dial. I am still wondering if I did the right thing, maybe next year I will purchase another 116613 LB

You 100% did the right thing. Bluesey’s are awesome, but Daytona’s are on another level in my opinion.

I would never buy anything two-tone, period. Or anything that has yellow gold unless it’s plating for some audio connection. Two-tone is the equivalent of blue dress shirts with white collars.

To be honest I wanted a 116500 and I'm still trying to get one. I was offered a TT with a Champagne dial and I went for it. All current Daytonas have the same movement and I wanted something gold. With the exception of my TT Datejust, all my other watches are stainless. When I service it I can change to any other dial offered for that model.

I hear you man, or even worse, when people wear a Sea Dweller when they're not in the water. That's the equivalent of wearing sweatpants with a blazer.

About 2 months with some history, plus they knew I was very excited to get one and would take great care of it. Yes the waiting game is a pain, but it does makes you feel privileged when you finally get the call. And yes, I do realise a white Daytona would be a different kettle of fish to a CHNR, as far as getting on a list lol.

Obviously this thread is full of people with a passion for TT watches. I think his comment was unnecessary. Seeing as his watch apparently is a SD I figured eye for an eye was fair game.

haha, no worries, actually there was no sarcasm to be recognized, I wanted it to sting. But yes, full disclosure I was of course joking ;-)

I may be a little ignorant, what are the connotations behind blue dress shirts with white collars?

It absolutely was my first choice. The year was 1996 and this watch was prominently featured on nearly every billboard in the city where I got my first finance job out of college. It was my grail and it was amazing...in fact, it still is!

My first Rolex was a two tone datejust. Still with me. The quintessential Rolex for me.

My CHNR was simply because my AD says he gets more BLNR's and BLRO's and I can get one of those next.
