No pic , but just bought a Tank XL at the Paris flagship store this week while on vacation. I wanted a dressier watch and the black Rolex DJ was my aim until I saw the Tank XL with bracelet. Love it.

Managed to get a Large Tank Solarbeat purely by chance.

Had to go to Malta for an event and yesterday had a few hours to kill so walked into Valetta and noticed a Patek Cartier AD (with a lovely wg 5524 in the window).

Dropped in and had a look around. Had a great selection of both makes (no Aquanaut or Nautilus, and no green Santos or blue PVD version either) but asked if they had a large Solarbeat to hear they did. Tried it, made a deal (10% off list) and walked away with a new watch, gift of a Cartier boxed watch cleaning kit and loupe and a smile on my face !

I plan to get one of Reverso Moonphase in the near future, I think it’s such a gorgeous timepiece.

My first Cartier! I have been obsessing over the "vintage" Santos for months now. I finally found the one. This is an early '90s, 29mm Galbee. I love the curved case and the bracelet with hidden clasp on this model. The patina on the dial and the fact that this appears to be unpolished sold me.

Congrats! Very nice! I've been chasing a 2960 burgundy dial with an unpolished bezel for a long time.

Cartier folks, hello. Can anyone recommend a good website to buy a 24mm black Cartier leather strap (new or good condition used). I called a boutique, they said I had to come in, bring the watch, etc…all to buy a leather strap. I don’t have a boutique in my city.

Thanks!

Thanks! The bezels are so hard to find nice and crisp...I get it. They are all polished to within an inch of their life and rounded off. Good luck with your hunt!

Just picked up this new 2023 tank release, something about YG and green that is effortlessly sublime. Understated and equally eccentric, the perfect dress watch, quite enjoying this one.

This thread needs a revival, so without further ado… Last month, Cartier invited my fiancée and me to an event showcasing how they design and manufacture their watches. (Apologies for the lack of photos—I wanted to be fully present in the moment.)

In addition to the presentation, they had a few pieces available for purchase, and I chose the platinum Cintree. With its platinum case, ruby cabochon, Roman numerals, and eggshell dial, Cartier encapsulates its quintessential elegance in this piece.

What a great event and great choice by you. I love Breguet hands on Cartier watches.
