Fresh from a RSC spa session. Not refinished. A great success. Thanks to the BH team. All are professionals, and they are courteous, responsive, and knowledgeable.

IMHO the GMT is a perfect sports watch for me. I like the Sub, but it’s not as practical as the GMT for me. I still fly some, so GMT is useful. I’m never going to do any driving, so the Sub is less useful. I’m hoping to add the GMT to my small collection next year. I also still wear my Omega Flightmaster, and I think it will be a nice addition.

So many beautiful GMT's on this thread! I have to admit, I love my 116610LN, it was my first Rolex and will always hold a special place in my heart. As a young kid I grew up thinking Rolex only made 2 styles, Subs and Datejusts ... the GMT never even flew on my radar. But as I've studied the hobby more now, I think I've come to the conclusion that the GMT, with it's useful complication, and variety of bezels and bracelets, is the perfect sports/tool watch ... more so than the Sub. Ask me again next year and I'll probably change my mind. That's how close they are!

Common problem on early 16760 so much so that AD’s used to change the dials before they were sold!

Wonderful!!! Is that a mid to late 1990s piece? Right there at the end, I often see that fade on the insert. Or from the 2000-2005 period. But your watch is prior to that.

Congrats on having such a magnificent set! And you are the original owner.

Every time I wear this watch it makes me smile. If I had to go to just one watch (like hell!), this would be it

A couple of shots to get this thread off the ground. Sorry, no pun intended.
Some beeeautiful Batmans and Pepsis in this thread! I have been looking for a GMT Master for a while but have had a hard time decided on a ref, but this thread was helpful for sure!

Also found this super helpful buying guide: https://www.bobswatches.com/rolex-bl...ing-guide.html

"The Rolex GMT is a pilot’s watch with dual-time capabilities. It is coveted by collectors of all walks of life and boasts an impressive selection of design sets and budgets. Our ultimate Rolex GMT-Master buying guide will discuss everything related to the brand’s legendary GMT collection, including its history, price, features, options, and where you can buy it."

Great read! I think I'm gonna go with the 116710
