Not a fan, myself. The amount of love these (and BLNR's) get on here is insane. Far from "cheap" though.

That said, I'd take a DJ over a Daytona any day. Shiny bezel with black indices don't do it for me. But does for many others. Taste and personal preference is a fickle cat.

I used to have the black sub date c swapped it last week for a hulk - three people commented how nice it looked (without me saying a word) and thats what i love about it, stands out but in a classy way not like a yellow gold rolex which just looks crass imo and says 'look at me'

Far from it. The dial is often a rich emerald green, with great depth of color.

It looks GORGEOUS. I think until you have worn one for a week you cant truly come to appreciate that as you see it in many different lights.

It's not a typical black sub -- it's unique and striking. I vote for the Hulk.

To each his own but its growing on me... So much so that I am considering getting one..

History is covered with items/ideas that were shunned at first... Picasso for instance was abhorred by many and look what has happened since... Granted Hulk is not Picasso but you get the picture.

Growth and originality in art, engineering, etc. requires open minded individuals to move pass conventionalism... I own the traditional sub and its a classic, sometimes its nice to be able to wear something with color.

Ive seen it in the flesh and it is by no means cheap, you can tell they put a lot of thought into it.

Don't forget that green and yellow are the colors of Rolex.

Come to Scotland and you'll never have to worry about it being too green, we've not seen the sun for about 4 weeks.

Had it for a week and loving it more than any other sub I've owned.

That being said I do think it's cheap. Worth way more than the price. It's simply a thing of beauty.

I also think it looks quite cheap - not disputing the fact that it's an amazing watch.

I think the green dial was executed better than the green bezel insert. (Rolex is doing amazing colored dials these days.) None of the ceramic bezel inserts look true except the black.

I love the LV dial but a little with you as I feel the insert shouldn't of been such a flat green, it works with the blue but wish the LV insert had more pop to it to go with the dial.

Have contemplated fitting the LV dial to a LN to retail the black bezel!

Anything photographed with direct flash like that looks cheap. It's all in the lighting...

If I could have only one watch, for one day, this would be the one ...provided it was St. Patrick's Day.

Green dial with black bezel or green bezel with black dial a la Kermit.

I am not fond of the green on green. The watch needs some contrast.
