I would write / email the Rolex US CEO and explain your story. I am sure you will at least get a response which could be anything from we will talk to them to they are independent and can set what ever policies they want. I have written to a few CEO's then I felt something was wrong that I wanted corrected, and the responses were all positive. Maybe they could even sell you a SS. I would also post something on Twitter.

If they got their money for the watch, why do they care what you do with it? They can't charge more, since it isn't allowed, but you sure could if you wished to!

That's really strange....
Do they do that with every Rolex model or just with the ones that are so hard to find, like the new Daytona's??? |

Ive seen several ADs insist on taking the plastics off in front of you so that you cant sell its as BNIB but to say you have to engrave it is just insane. The attitude that some of these ADs have is just awful, if you even ask if they have a Daytona available they act like you should be shot.

Thanks man. No biggie, its just a watch. But I'm happy that you got yours! I thought that I wanted the black one, but the more I see pics like yours of the white one the more I start to feel pulled in that direction.

Things happen for a reason. Perhaps blessing in disguise...this incident prevented you from getting the black because you subconsciously "really" wanted the white! Speaking from my own experience, i think the white DaytonaC will look phenomenal and slide in perfectly with your current collection! I totally agree its just a watch! Good mindset. These are truly first world problems. |
