He gone. And so has that collection back to its real owners.

Is there any reason why you would not name this company here?

Please be assured that what they are doing sounds most irregular. Would you be able to post a scan of the relevant part of the receipt, please?

Thankyou,

Haywood
I won't name them, as I have a great relationship with them. This quirk isn't really impacting me. If the price goes up, I have 30 days to collect or ask them to post it to me.
The real net wording on the receipt is
"Deposit Sales £x,xxx.xx
Deposit Status : Initial
Deposit Ref : zzzzzz"

"Deposit Breakdown
Total : £x,xxx.xx
Outstanding Balance £0.00"

"Articles on Deposit :
cccccccc - Qty 001"

"Items on deposit must be collected within 3 months of the initial order"

"After 30 days, item on deposit will be subject to relevant price changes"

I would be surprised if that would stand up in court, however I am sure the crux of any defence would be....you accepted this at the time of paying the full DEPOSIT

As a side note, I have found this topic both amusing and then quite informative, thanks all.

I am not surprised the OP has not been back on here with any reply, although I am sure he is still reading it.

Yeah, got to hand it to Steve, at least he did get us thinking and researching while we idle the waiting hours away.
