It's uncanny. He looks exactly the same and hasn't aged a bit.

One night she was handing me a dinner of "brilliant" shrimp and I asked her "If they're so brilliant, how did they end up on my plate?".

She didn't get it.

Unlike the Brits, my Ozzie Flight Attendants I concluded walked through the world in a state of perpetual wide-eyed wonderment because instead of being brilliant everything was, apparently, "amazing".

Having never been among so many continuously amazed people in my life, I admit it left me feeling a bit jealous and cheated that my own Amazement trigger is pulled by things I never get to see or experience like an armada of alien spacecraft suddenly appearing overhead or time travel, not by shawarmas or having a nap.

But we're so jaded here our main comment is "yeah, whatever".

If we saw a UFO we'd probably just walk away and complain it isn't as cool as the one in Close Encounters with the great music.

You gotta admire their enthusiasm.

Unless they were sexy alien babes, then we'd hang out.
