Old submariner Update or sell?

What makes sense for a 1988 Submariner that has faded tritium and a worn band? I have been wearing this watch since 1988, last service in 1990. The stainless and gold band is quite worn. Should I service and repair the band or sell it and buy a new submariner. I would like to be able to see the dial and the glow disappeared 5+ years ago. Whats it worth to sell?

6263 just rebuilt.

Directed here as I am looking for information and advice on my 6263. Just had the Valjoux movement rebuilt so enjoy.
When I work out how to reduce the size of the zip for the movement I'll post it up here.

You should start a separate thread in the main Vintage Discussion section. I see issues with the watch and movement, btw.

I wouldn’t sell in this condition. Get it serviced first. That bracelet looks like it’s one bad day away from breaking. Service plus parts, probably $1500 and if you decide to get rid of it you will recoup that cost instantly.
