Silliest thread ever. Also, how utterly american to show-off like that. I am sure they are the are the same people who feel that they have "arrived" with their first Rolex purchase...

Not at all, we are all just having fun. A Rolex does not mean one have arrived, a minute repeater Patek or Vacheron on the other hand is a different story... FYI the gentleman that started this thread is from the UK so thanks for trying to spoil our fun...

The ownship of a Rolex shows that person displays a sense of quality. In the previous issue of IW magazine, Theirry Stern gives a great interview. |

So... tell us how you really feel. Also, it's tasteless to post such a derogatory comment.

True, but you have to admit it's pretty amusing to see what people regard as their other treasured possessions, like plimsolls and sunglasses!

It was SWAG. Guess it's lost in translation as usual when the USA gets the bad rap for being pompous etc.... Whatever. |

We are not braggarts by brandishing to others outside our hobby...it's, as the name states, a Rolex forum. Many of us have much more to deal with and are here for fun. If we were bragging about our Abba collection, horrendously styled steel on four wheels called Volvo, or furniture that one has to put together from an IKEA box, would you feel the need to be an arrogant priggish boor? Go piss on someone else's parade, troll. To me, American's are much more polite, and humble, than given credit for after saving our arses with the blood of two of their generations. Sure, that was +60 years ago, but what would it be like now? Yet, many fault them for having fun in what, may be unconventional to our respective cultures. Jealous simpletons. For sake of clarity, I'm Norwegian. Oh, there you are...number 45. Be proud. http://static8.businessinsider.com/i...490000/map.jpg |

Ok, I change "american" to "chav". From being a member on several big name forums over the years I`ve observed how people in the States have a certain inclination of what and how to photograph when they show their latest purchase. And it is basically only americans who do this.
Not sure what you are talking about there Gåsen/Goose. Why are you talking about the war? This is a Rolex forum. Since you mentioned the war for some reason, lets get more yes-sayers into this thread. I mean more people who agree and float with the stream and don´t make a fuzz can´t be a bad thing right...? (See Pearl Harbour for the correct answer to that question and important lessons in group dynamics) Still think this is a silly, brash, show-offy thread, un-fitting for the kind of elegant people member vintage69 described up here. You know, Rolex people...

Came back to delete my post. Too much time has elapsed so it, unfortunately, remains. Caught up in the moment. I know better. It was wrong and immature. My apologies for continuing a negative feeling.
I apologize to you erolorhun, directly and very sincerely. Wishing all a nice weekend. |

At least pick on a specific state instead of an entire country, like New Jersey.
