Guys - Can you tell me how many links in total the Surmf has? Mine came with a total of 12 links 6 out of the 12 are removable (I am not counting the small links that connects/holds the bracelet to the clasp on both sides)
I only ask because the fitting on the Smurf seems odd to me Vs. the Hulk that I traded. Hulk had a half link as in the pic below attached to the link that connects to the clasp retractor. The Smurf does not have that? This is why the sizing/feel is off for me?

What about adjusting with the glide lock? I had to take two links out of my 116619 then adjust with glidelock. Now it's perfect on hot or cold days.

The Sub w/date will be my next Rolex, so for the time being, I hope everyone does not mind if I am just a lurker at this point.

Gents, you may have seen several posts on this thread (and others) declaring my love for this watch. A love that has not waned in over 3 years!! During this time many of you have received PMs asking all sorts of questions about your 619, to which you have all graciously responded - thank you again...
Well, it is with extreme pleasure that I can announce that I am awaiting delivery of my very own BRAND NEW SMURF (from DSW) - here likely next week!! I am beside myself that I have finally been able to make this happen, as I did not expect to for many more moons, and I wanted to share with you the joy of my impending arrival :))) Will of course post in this thread (something I've only dreamed about) with photos once she's on the wrist! Yes...it can be ordered from the AD...last time I checked it was around $700 USD. I decided to just take up the difference using the GlideLock. I own both the Hulk and the Smurf. They fit slightly differently but are equally comfortable.

Congrats Timmy. It's always a buzz for me to hear these kind of stories. A watch holding steady as a grail for 3 years and winding up on your wrist way sooner than expected? That's awesome. It looks great too. It appears this watches surge in popularity in recent months has led to the market drying up. I just went on watchrecon to get a sense of price in the grey market. There's been one to show up in the last two months. I always recollected these as pretty available. I think the enablers here should take a bow for some good work...and the smurf too of course. Congrats again.
