Submariner on girls?!?!?!??

What do you guys think about the Submariner on girls? I'm thinking of getting one but not sure if I should go with the black or green bezel??

Thank you in advance for your opinions

Personally, I think men's watches - especially Rolex sport models look terrific on girls.

The basic black Submariner would be very cool...but if you like the green, well, go for it. You can always put a black bezel insert on it if you find yourself preferring black.

Oh...and welcome to the Forum!

The sub looks lovely on a woman. As for the color, you'll have to decide which one appeals to you the most, and then wear it as an expression of yourself- anything other than that won't shine quite so brightly.

I think it's a good size for girls too, and the green especially would look good.
The regular ladies rolexes are way too small IMO.

I like the look. My wife occasionally wears my ToG(I change the band). Looks great on her.

i was going to say exactly the same thing i think the watch looks totally awesome on Jen's wrist...

My girlfriend has help ed herself to a white face explorer II from my collection and we took it to have it sized last week and after having 5 links removed the watch looks fantastic on her wrist.

She did try my deep sea but that was a little bit to big for her hahaha

Welcome to the forum Drea08!!
A Sub on a woman looks great....A Sea-Dweller even better!! There is actually quite a few female members here with Subs and other Rolex sport watches as well!! If you like the LV (green bezel) then go for it.....
Stick around and join in + post some pics when you get your Rolex!!
Rob.

The 40 mm size on a woman is a matter of personal taste. To me, a man's watch is still too big, so I got Rolex's Yachtmaster in the woman's size. It is the only watch Rolex makes in its professional line (which includes the Submariner) that is made in women's (29 mm) and mid-size(35 mm) sizes, as well as men's (40 mm--same as the Sub size).

++1 on this idea. The mid size YM would be a killer on a lady.

The Sub is awesome, it doesn't matter who you may be, a Sub will work (and splendidly so), it is the quintessential everyones Rolex

Welcome to TRF!

I think 40mm on women are hot!

As for the LV vs Sub, I greatly prefer the LV's maxi dial, but would swap for a black bezel insert.

I have seen plenty of younger girls in Tokyo wearing a YG Sub. I must say it looks good on them, even if it is a bit big...!

I think that they look great and very sexy on a ladies wrist.
But please go with the classic black bezel.

Tried to talk my wife into a Sub LV while on Maui, talked the salesperson down To 6k, no tax and 35.00 shipping. She didn't want it! She wants a PP 24.

I am going to Kauai in a bit... Is Hawaii a decent place to get a Rolex?? The $6K seems ok for a new LV Sub. Wondering what GMT IIC SS or TT would go for there / ship back to Nor Cal.

I have a lady friend who owns the no-date and green Subs. They look great on her, although I believe she had to perform some additional surgery on the bracelets to get them to fit her wrist. Good luck!

I didnt see any great deals on the Islands...I was in Maui and Oahu and tried every AD I could find...not one was willing to offer anything off of SRP. Kinda bummed, I thought it would of been sweet to purchase there.

As long as the wrist isnt to dainty I like em. Doesnt look good if the watch looks gigantic and flopping all over the place.
I know very little about fashion but one of the things I picked up is, black goes with everything.

Matt,
True, Hawaii is no place to find bargains.

Sub-dates are cool on girls!

Just got my wife a Sub-date, she loves it (and so do I). http://www.rolexforums.com/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif

And my AD just called that my SS Daytona white is in after 3 years on the waiting list! http://www.rolexforums.com/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif
