I was finally able to capture the lighter brighter blue in an office lighting.

VC certainly hit it out of the park with their blue dial on the overseas!

Question for those that don't have boutique nearby. How do you get the bracelet sized? Do you do it yourself or go to a local jeweler? My closest boutique is probably 200 miles away.

I'm planning to call the e-boutique and get added to the list for the blue 7900 (yes, I know it could be years), but probably won't even get to see one in person until I'm in Vegas later this year (assuming the boutique has one).

I used a 1.2 mm hollow ground flat head from my Wiha kit. You can easily remove the watch head on these watches so you're only working with the flat bracelet. The screw heads don't need or use locktite so they don't fight you like Rolex. It's pretty easy if you're comfortable with tools. I need to use 1.5x mag for my eyes though since it's a small screw head.

For what’s worth, my AD said that all 56 stainless modes are now allocation pieces at this particular AD.it was widely available to purchase a year ago but now no more due to limited supply from VC.

Arguably, supply is the same but it’s demand that has skyrocketed.

I have both the 3 hand rose gold and the perpetual calendar. Both stunning.

Official vacheron overseas thread!!

Since you have a good eye for detail can you confirm that your watch head as it becomes the first link has a more linear brush pattern similar to the top of the watch case than what is on the bracelet. It's subtle but I see it in my blue dial 4500.

See arrow areas in my pic.

The linear brush pattern is more pronounced on brushed part of the Watch case than the links itself. On the links, the brushing is slightly subtle.

Perfect. Thanks! I've only seen this on blue dials for what it's worth. My black 5500V the top of the watch case was linear. Then it transitioned to the bracelet finish on the first link.

Blue dial time

Looks like I’ll have the chance to pick up a blue overseas dual time at retail. I’m super excited! But also never had a VC piece, any regrets from current owners? I know the blue dial is in demand so feel lucky.

I also just got a Rolex SD43 so whilst I can afford it I am feeling a little wary of dropping best part of 50K on watches as we seem to be entering a downturn.

Anyway bit stream of consciousness post but advice/perspectives welcome!

Awesome watch. No regrets here. The SD43 I sold as it was too uncomfortable (though it looks totally bad ass).

The black 4500V looks great and I think the silver version deserves more attention as well. Enjoy!

Never.

I've owned every version since the 2215 never had any pinch hair.

My old ROC pinched hairs. Have two overseas, a gen 2 and gen 3, neither have pinched me so far.

Same experience. VC bracelet is definitely more comfortable. The edges of AP RO bracelets are also sharper.

Hey folks, I could use some feedback. A year ago tomorrow I put down a deposit on a blue dial dual time with the boutique in NYC. My sales rep told me that they closed the list later in the day and that I was the last one to make it. Needless to say, I was pretty psyched! Anyway fast forward to today, and still no watch. I sent following text to my rep
" Hi H@**. I hope you are well. It has been one year since I put my deposit down on the dual time. I understand how demand is crazy and the pandemic slowed things down and I’m totally willing to be patient. That being said, I do think VC should be able to give me an ETA. Can you please check with HQ on the status of my watch and get back to me? Thanks H@**!"
I don't think it's too much to ask to get an ETA, is it? I mean, they have collected a certain number of deposits. They have the dates that they collected the deposits. I assume they have some sort of manufacturing schedule. Shouldn't it just be a matter of math to figure out when they can send me my watch? Again, I don't mind waiting, but they should be able to give me some kind of time frame, no?
