You are chasing a ghost. No way does Rolex intend to have it change precisely at midnight. It’s always a few minutes off. Let it go. They will mess something else up trying to please you.

Thank you very much for your advices.A friend of mine sent his watch for the same reason and now it changes exactly spot on at midnight so it depends if this is something that's important to ya(like it is me).

Regards.

I installed a new date wheel in my 16622 last evening and adjusted the hands so that the date changes within a minute either way of midnight. It can be done. I’ve done it myself. It’s within just a few seconds... but it’s not consistent. It varies.

I do like it when it flips over at “straight up midnight”. But when it comes to shipping off a watch, taking it apart and working to get it precisely at midnight, it’s not something most would chase.

I respect that others have viewpoints and want things a certain way. We all have areas in which we are particular. Cheers.

Here’s the Yachtmaster I put the Red date wheel in, yesterday evening. (Normally, the date wheel is black). Hats off to Jocke for the inspiration!!

After I have owned 2 liner Submariner twice,4 new case Submariner,1 Seadweller, I had 3 DSSD and sold them.I was so sad because of this and at the end I had a DSSD last year again.Dont ask why I sold them before,I gave a chance to other brands for example Omega Ploprof in steel but I missed this Big Ass Deepsea.I m a huge fan of these from 2012 to now.My wrist is 7ınch and I love to wear this.Hi to all Deepsea owners!

Decided to sell the DAY-DATE. Great watch but I think when I am ready for a dress watch I'd prefer a gold watch on a leather strap, such as a Patek or Lange. DAY-DATE=President Bracelet so didn't really want to take off the bracelet.

Called up local AD and they told me that no one was on the list for a James Cameron but the lady I talked to said she has opened last 2 shipments and hasn't seen one. She says they got a black dialed one and most she gets in are black dials but as soon as the JC comes in she would call me. Other AD indicated that demand for JC aside, Rolex definitely ships more black dials than JC. Kind of boggles my mind since it seems like 90% of people interested in this watch want the JC dial but I guess that is Rolex marketing you want what you can't have.

Never had a brand new Rolex or the experience. Full disclosure, this watch is way too big for me. The older version is flat out too big and top heavy, the new version I can deal with but still pushing it. This watch was always my grail so I rather just get it out of my system and experience the beast. It has my favorite dial to ever be on a watch.

70 hour power reserve and smaller wearing size were huge selling points. I have my GMT that I'll wear most of the time and being able to go a couple of days without wearing the JC is a huge bonus.

Who knows when I'll get the call but hopefully sooner rather than later. Start shipping those watches Rolex... My local Tourneau said it would take about a month for me to get one. They also had no waiting list on it but I wanted to go to a more local dealer to establish a relationship so I'll deal with the up in the air delivery date.

Will post pics when it comes in.

Hanging clasp

How do you fix the hanging clasp issue? Seems to provide out? Even when I removed a link and extended dive clasp all the way out. I do not want to get rid of the dive clasp. Seems like a design flaw? Thanks for response!

I sized my bracelet so that it fits well when the clasp is all the way in. I can then let it out a bit on hot days but mostly wear it like this. (For my large 200mm wrist I had to exchange the half link for a full link). Now the dive extension doesn't bother me at all anymore.

Thanks I'm so happy and proud to have the DSSD, the SeaDweller line are the one for me. ALL Rolex watches are great, but the SD43 and the DSSD is my absolute choice!

My 6.7 wrist is in a joy of steel!

James Cameron i just picked up for a buddy. I have a 6.5 inch wrist. This thing will look amazing on his 8 inch wrist. I can say, easily the best modern dial i have ever seen. It’s everything that people say it is, just amazing.

Comparison photo between the 2254.50 I’m wearing today and the deepsea.
