I sold the item for about 200 at the end to someone with decent feedback.
I guess without those two, the item won't get bid up by that much to begin of.

I agree with the idea that everyone needs to start somewhere, just the idea of a brand new ID bidding on my stuff worries me.

Yup, back in the early days Ebay was all regular people, no stores on it at all.

Just got a message from another buyer (different item)

"ey there. i accidentally just bid on this item, but i didn't read over it all first, so if i happen to be the high bidder and win, could you notify the 2nd bidder instead of me to let them know they won? my max was 50, so hopefully someone goes above. thanks sean"

What should I do?

He needs to either honor the bid, hope he gets outbid, or withdraw his bid. Check what else he has bid on and his feedback. He may also be the #2 guy who is shielding himself, that way #2 withdraws at the last minute and #1 drops to a bottom price and YOU get stiffed. So check out what else #2 has bid on.

I replied with this

http://pages.ebay.com/help/buy/bid-retract.html

Without going further and telling him what to do.

Icon8 E Bay Nightmare

Posted my GMT Bronze, Then the trouble began, all manner of offers from Europe wanting to buy via non Ebay Escrow sercives. Additionally some &^%$# accessed my account and posted 37 high end items like plasma tv's. In the end Ebay suspended my account {as a precaution} had to jump through numerous hoops to get my account cleared, Then my internet provider needed a new password as well {more hoops}. Now I can't access my Pay Pal account at all. Never Again sell a high end item on Ebay

Scan your PC for virus, someone might be stealing your passwords.
