Icon3 Its here, Pam 164 but....

the Missus and kids got to the postman first and I have been told I have to wait til Santa pitches up in 20 days time. Meantime the box is hidden somewhere in the house. I've tried kindness, bribery, threats etc all to no avail. the box stays hidden.

20 days, almost a lifetime

Well actually 19 days and 4 hrs

Start searching through her clothes, she will give in after about a day.

Less if she is wearing then as you search them.

Congratulations though! Unfortunately I am powerless against all the women in my life, so I can't help you.

Three women in my life so I've got no chance. I'm working on my son, maybe he'll help his poor old dad out against all those gals!! I think their threats must be worse than mine because he's saying nothing.

In Perth I've got more chance of getting pregnant than finding a panerai dealer. I eventually got the watch from a bloke in the US via the Paneristi web site. Lots of references and a superb chap to deal with.
I also had coms with Launch Mini some time ago but chickened out. At that stage I wasn't sure about the panerai. Then having decided to go for it, LM's 104 came up for sale three days after I said yes to the 164.

yeah... i struggle saying no to one, so you're doing well with three
Just wait until your son wants a car... then i'm sure he'll want to team up!

Good to hear that you could deal safely with someone OS. Were the customs and duty fees a big hit or hassle for you?

I know for a fact that LM would ship you the 104 and you'd have it before the week is out... so you wouldn't have to wait until Xmas.

Two PAMs are always better than one.

Problem is, it is already here! How's this:

"Hey kids where's the box that came yesterday??"

"We're saving it so you have a present to open on Christmas day"

"It's ok, I don't mind not having a present on Christmas day. Give me the box now"

"Sorry Dad. "

This one's better. Hey kids, tell me where the box is or I'm canceling your allowance, selling off all of your toys and sealing up the chimney so Santa can't get in on Christmas eve.
If that doesn't wok, bribe them with bicycles and ponies

You really are trying to cover the whole of down under with OP material, aren't you?

I'm actually rather annoyed that there's no AD in my state. It may, however, be a good thing....as it stops me from just 'dropping in' every now and then

It's a commonwealth thing. John and I have the bigger part of North America covered... so we have to get our commonwealth neighbours in tune with us. :~)

NO NO NO dont drop into a Panerai AD - they'll have what you want, you'll try it on and the next thing you know you are putting down $4k on it and selling off your GMT to fund it... its dangerous I tell you - DANGEROUS!!!

I'm hoping by then I will have issued enough threats that the troops will give in and hand over the box.
Otherwise I'm going to look like a real dill wearing the gabo without the 164.

It's only a 10 minute drive to my AD, and 15 minutes to my Harley AD. Trust me it's Dangerous being that close when you have two hobbies like these.

Best to be many many miles away it would be cheaper!

I have a Harley dealer less than 1km from my house... and I'm not even remotely interested.

However, there's a Ducati dealership about 4km down the road. LOLOLOL

The last week I had the Z4 out I pulled up to a gas station where a guy was filling his Ducati. He finished, paid, fired it up and I started drooling......the sound was soooooo sweet as he pulled away! Power and refinement.

Thanks for all the advice Chaps, I've tried most but it would appear that Mum has a stronger hold. No doubt I'll find out on Xmas day.

Oh Harley vs Ducati
Duke for me but I sold the bike ages ago before I wrote it and myself off. Kept the helmet and jacket though!!

You may NOT want to look around for it:

South Carolina mother has son arrested for playing with Christmas present

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A fed-up mother had her 12-year-old son arrested for allegedly rummaging through his great-grandmother's things and playing with his Christmas present early.

The mother called police Sunday after learning her son had disobeyed orders and repeatedly taken a Game Boy from its hiding place at his grandmother's house next door and played with it. He was arrested on petty larceny charges, taken to the local police station in handcuffs and held until his mother picked him up after church.

"My grandmother went out of her way to lay away a toy and paid on this thing for months," said the boy's mother, Brandi Ervin.

"It was only to teach my son a lesson. He's been going through life doing things...and getting away with it."

Police did not release the boy's name.

The mother said her son was diagnosed in the last year with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder but his medicine does not seem to help.

She said he faces an expulsion hearing at his school Wednesday. Rock Hill Police Capt. Mark Bollinger said the boy took a swing at a police officer assigned to the school last month. He has been suspended from school since then.

The boy's case will be presented to Department of Juvenile Justice officials in York County, who will decide what happens to him, Bollinger said. His mother hopes he can attend a program that will finally scare him straight.

"It's not even about the Christmas present," she said.

"I only want positive things out of it...There's no need for him to act this way. I'd rather call myself than someone else call for him doing something worse than this."
