Nice 5512

http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-submariner...#ht_500wt_1182

Thought I'd put this one out for scrutiny. I can't afford it, but it looks like a good deal for someone....

Yes, it happened when I took a photo on my Sub the other day, I think it's just a trick of the light and shadows. Look....Not in the same place, but more or less the same thing.

Nice meters first 5512. I think the "dark" circles are..

caused from the camera. They don't show up in every picture. Would be alot more realistic closer to the starting price. IMHO

Interesting in that the seller describes the markers as having a "dark halo around them from oil?".
So perhaps it's not just from the camera?
Does this indicate a relume?

Most of the mid 60's with "puffy tritium" have "bleeding" around the ...

perimeter which is normal. The farthest picture to the right looked more normal. Very hard to tell without holding it in my hand. If I were interested I would call the guy and discuss it in more detail.

its hard to determine what exactly that substance is..I have seen this effect on soime relumed dials..now thats not saying that this dial has been relumed..I am just saying that I have seen that effect on some relumed dials.
I would definitely want to examine the watch in person before I paid any real money for it.
