show me your Watch collection in a box/case/holder
I just got a wooden watch box yesterday for my little collection. I was just wondering if you guys have use any? Heres a pic of mine. Kind of too big for me but what do you guys use? This one holds rings and cufflinks. I would like to see what some guys use.

I just keep some of mine in a travel holder.
The extra's beside it most of the time.

Would a picture of my watch on my dresser be O.K.? Because, that's what I use for a watch box

Most of the time mine all sit on winders. But when I travel to a GTG, they go in this:

I honestly found mine on ebay. I paid $58 total shipped. The box was $38.99 but shipping and tax for cali res was $$$. I've actually been trying to post on forsale to sell because this was a little bigger than I thought and it doesnt fit in that drawer in the pic. So I have to wait 15days for the forums to allow me to post there. If your interested please let me know. Im asking $50 shipped..its brand new. I put it back in the box. |

You can probably get more by selling it on ebay, but then again, might not worth the time and effort for that few dollars.
I am pretty certain if you post it for sale with that picture you posted, some watch nut is going to want to have one for their watches. |

I have just come to the realization that I must be the poorest bastard on this forum. I am catching hell from my friends for having a SD! (Not my intention to steal the thread, please carry on.)

Here's a watch box you might like. It also doubles as a winder.
BERGAMO 40. The disappearing watchwinder. 40 automatic watch winders housed in an attractive Italian-made cabinet where a remote controlled motorized lift mechanism raises or lowers the watchwinder module on command for viewing and loading. Once lowered, the resultant decorative piece of furniture leaves no clue as to its contents. Choose from Madrona Burl, Mahogany Parquet or Brazilian Rosewood. List Price: $45,000 - $46,000. I say go for it.

I dont understand why a watch winder costs so much money!!!! Surely the mechanics of one is not that complicated... or is it a supply and demand thing? Not many people would have a use for a Watch Winder so they dont sell many...

But back on topic, any specific things I should look for when I shop for a winder? And things that I should avoid? I have seen dirt cheap winder that goes for like 30 bucks to those 10-20k ones. Any suggestions? For 5 watches, or 1 watch, how much am I looking at spending? A reasonable one would be fine, I won't use it as a display, it will be sitting inside my closet or my safe. |
