PAM 48 K Series
My local AD here wants me to pay US 5200 for a new Panerai PAM 48 K series. I know it is about 2 years old sitting inside his showcase.
What do you think? Is it the right price or should I wait for the new series which of course would cost me much more. |

List is 6200 in the US. I'd ask for a couple straps to be tossed in. Those are worth $250 easy on the secondary market or just keep them to wear. AD's are usually pretty good about tossing in a strap or two. BTW, K is last years series (not two years). I think you are getting a fair deal if they toss in a strap or two.

I just sold my PAM 48 K to another TRFer. I willl say this, I absolutely loved that watch. 40MM was perfect for me as I have a small wrist. Just to warn you if you are a flipper at all, I took a big hit on it as the 40MM models are definitely harder to sell. I wish you had been on here a few weeks ago looking, I could have saved you a ton of money for the exact same thing. Oh well, happy hunting! I would think you could get a very nice slightly used one for quite a bit cheaper than that though. If you need to have new, that is a pretty good deal.

May I suggest really trying out the 44mm Panerai's. Maybe the 104 will fit your bill. I'm telling you this: You'll want the "standard" PAM size in the very near future if you buy the 48. IMHO.
Good luck!

Thanks friend. I forgot to mention that because of my small wrist, I can only go for 40 mm. I have no intention of selling this watch. If not 48, my eyes are also set on PAM 244. My AD does not have one!
