Mike, He mentioned you. Super nice guy. Great site you have here, stumbled into it, have since purchased two rolex and the PAM.

Straps, yes, been hunting already. Question is, does the original band hold any weight on resale or do you wear them out? Been to TC Straps, as well as Heroic 18.

This PAM was a bad thing, much more options than the Rolex.

I've kept my OEM alligator strap as I think that it works well to dress the watch up, probably a mix of the quality of the hide, the stiching and the relative thinness. I've then added some 3rd party straps for more casual wear which what I use my 312 for most.

You do see a few OEM straps up for sale though.

A1000, already ordered the Vulcan with the Submarine, as you posted. What is the diference in a 24/22 or a 24/24? As the Vulcan is 24/24?

Regarding the pictures, tried with my BlackBerry, and cant figure out how to convert to resize with MS Photo Editor. Need to use a real camera, although she looks purty even with the BB camera.

Oh, from the Rolex, to something unique, a bad day for my wallet. I got the PAM Itch

The two numbers are the width of the strap at each end. The OEM is 24mm at the connection with the watch and 22mm at the free end and is therefore tapered very slightly. This is important when ensuring you have a buckle to fit as the OEM buckle is 22mm. Most 3rd party straps are 24/24 which is a parallel profile with a 24mm buckle.

Most phone cameras produce pictures in JPEG format which should allow you to then transfer to your computer and adjust in a programme such as MS Photo Editor. I don't have any experience of MS Photo Editor as I use Photoshop mainly. Sorry.

very nice! wow i remember what it felt like to get my first pam...and the same one as well. Pam 88's are beautiful, congratulations and I know you will enjoy it just as I have. In fact i don't wear any other watches in my collection once i bought it so be careful of that!

Here's mine that I picked up from bodybump aka oscar while on vacation in San Fran, I highy recommend him if u are looking for a watch, he is an awesome guy. Oh one more thing be careful of pam strap fever! I can't stop looking and buying! My fav is the oem pam rubber stap.

Already purchased one from TC Straps and one from Heroic18. A disease the PAM much more fun than a Rolex.

Fully agree on the strap thing. Almost more fun than the watch itself! Your 88 looks awesome by the way, I've always loved that reference.

I like it

88 is my first and only PAM (for now), I like it very much. I posted one thread on Rolex forum and one in Panerai forum, it seems folks like Rolex gmt2c more.
