No Longer a PAM Virgin

After falling in love with Panerai after seeing my first a year ago, I've finally purchased one. Take it easy on me, but I purchased a PAM 48. Nothing exotic and not a 44mm, but has been making me waste time looking at my wrist and googling such important topics as "22mm straps" and "1.2 mm screwdrivers" ever since the box arrived at work yesterday. Purchased pre-owned with pearwood box, all the papers, and two straps from a highly respected seller on a (primarily) clothing forum.

When I tried one on for the first time a few months ago, I struggled with the size. I have 6.5 inch wrists and have been wearing much smaller watches (Tag, Baume, Limes). After one day I'm already thinking about a 1950 GMT Eight-Day Reserve (which # is that?). This really is a sickness and I can see why many of you guys appear to be whacked out when it comes to watches. In any event, a few pics:

Congratulations
The 48 is a nice piece and certainly nothing to sneeze at
Yes, this PAM thing is a slippery slope

Congrats, nice photographs....now where did I put my magnifying glass

The affliction is really the failure of one to appreciate nice timepieces.........so on that basis "Your Cured!"

Big congrats. You'll get used to the size quickly and soon you'll be craving more!!!!

The 8 day manual GMT you are talking about is the 233.

BTW, I have a 6.5" wrist and I have no problem with the 44mm. You just need some time!

Congrats again!

Welcome aboard and CONGRATS!! The 48 was my first induction into the world of Panerai. I flipped it months after I got it for a larger piece. My money is on the fact that you'll do the same.
