At long last, I have joined the Rolex club.

Here's my new Rolex. I love it. After all the badgering on the boards about two-tone rose gold watches, looking for pictures, talking about various combinations, this is what I decided on. I'm actually not sure I've ever seen another of these on the boards!

This is a better picture of the watch, even though it's not the elusive wrist shot :) This is the 116231 with the rose stick dial.

Yessir! DJ two-tone rose/stainless, fluted bezel, oyster bracelet, rose stick dial.

I made an 11th-hour change to the bracelet. In all my research, I always assumed I was going to get the jubilee bracelet. I changed my mind for a few reasons: I felt the oyster on a DJ was more rare; I felt the oyster would make the 36mm wear a little larger; I wear tshirts a lot and thought it was a little more casual; and finally, since I plan to own this watch forever, I felt that over time the oyster would be less prone to stretch. Of course, I still think both options are beautiful, but that's why I went with the oyster.

Much of your logic is very similar to the logic I used when I bought my TT DJ (pic attached). I liked the more casual look of the oyster band...I feel it works with a suit or T-Shirt and jeans/shorts.

Very nice choice on your part...I was never a big fan of the rose gold, but I really like the look of your watch. I think the dial you picked is the key.

I don't know much about the rose gold DJ's. Do they come with many dial options?

Congrats again.

Jim

Thanks, and yes, all DJs come with almost TOO many dial options. The number of configurations you can choose is almost overwhelming because you can never find what you want in a store!
