The auction is lacking a few key details.. Things that cost $3k should have atleast five sentences in the discription.

Looks like an older GMT with the swiss t <25 tritium dial. The watch looks good, and is a 16760 based on the serial number prefix and the "coke" bezel, which came on these watches. But, the description is pretty lame as some have noted here all ready.

Don't get why people expect to sell things like that with just the one picture . If you can take one picture of that quality you can take more ... especially if you do not have box nor papers . This watch can be as good as gold , but no way I would bid on it unless I live around the corner and the seller wants to meets face to face for handover .

Photo looks good, mentions serial, I've had a quick look around but didn't find that photo elsewhere

The problem here, on the premise that the watch is the real thing, is that we have an owner whom has come into it second hand. There are many in this day and age that to them, a watch is, simply a watch. My s/o is one such. She'd just as soon wear a $10 time piece from Wal-Mart as she would her no date 176200. In fact, she was rather pizzed that I spent the money on it .................. Go figure. To this person, getting pictures of the watch ends may simply be looked on as a pita. At least it isn't a stock picture nor is the coronet obscured. In addition, seller isn't claiming it's an 11 dial ! On the other hand, how does the seller know it's an "R" serial # unless he's been shown the end of the watch ? Could this be payment for a drug deal ? Unless the watch is hot, why not sell it to a bricks and mortar gray dealer. Just my .02

Update !!

Crofton, MD sits just to the south of the metro Baltimore, MD area and just to the west of Annapolis, MD (US Naval Academy). Also near the huge military base, FT Mead. As such, I'd wager the watch just might burn ones finger tips. There are way too many places in that area to sell a ligit Rolex w/o messing with eBay !

Agreed Mikey, I would love to see some more pictures of this watch, I always am weary of comments like "Its the actual watch of the picture that you get!!" its either stating the obvious or skirting around a fraudulent listing with stolen photos.

If I had handed to me that watch, I would have photos between the lugs and even the caseback off showing beyond a doubt it were genuine, but not all think the same way :-(

I think its worth contacting the seller and getting him to post a pic with the watch set at a predetermined time and date with his sellers name on a bit of paper, he will either scarper and not answer or if he wants to sell he will provide whats needed :-)

I honestly don't think that photos is of what he is selling, but we need that proof to even suggest any authenticity attached to this listing is false :-)

I truly don't think he'll sell it. BIN is too high for what he is showing. On another note, needed is an international watermarking statue. It would go a long way in putting a stop to drive by listings on eBay.

The photo looks pretty good, but it may not be the watch he/she has for sale...

I'd have to agree with Mikey that it's a bit warm to the touch. Either that or he took it in trade for drugs
