Maui AD...

We have been in Maui for a while as the first leg of our honeymoon, and ventured to the local AD (name slips my mind, but in the shops at Wailea in South Maui) and they were SUPER nice and relatively knowledgable. Some of the shops are kinda snooty- and I am used to this as being from the Wash DC area. An extensive collection- but unsure of pricing. Even after insisting she not remove any from the case- many were removed which gave my lovely wife a greater understanding of how much of a WIS I am!!!

If your ever here- it's definatley a good place to check out!

I recall that store very fondly. The place that started it all. It's where I first fell in love with my YM!

Funny you mention the YM- while they had a YMII, there were no plat 16622's and only 1 2tone white face if I recall. Kinda surprising- as they had many many pieces, save for the GV, ss daytona, and ss sub. No 116613s were seen either, although 2 LVs were in the case- albeit one with TORN UP stickers!!! Lol!

It's called Baron and Leeds. They are super friendly. Me and my wife stayed at the Wailea Beach Resort which is right next to the Shops at Wailea. We would walk there(the shops) every morning to by fruit and snacks. I fell in love with the DSSD but came to terms with my small wrist size.

My wife and I got her last two Rolexes there. They are always very friendly even though they get tons of lookie-loos. As we were paying for her watch, three different people came in asking for a SS Daytona. LOL.

I also thought they were very nice, especially since I had a bathing suit on the first time I went in there...

Icon7 I love Hawaii.....

Congratulations! My wife and I spent 10 days on Lanai on our honeymoon in November and we did two day trips to Maui. I hit both of the Baron & Leeds stores while there. The staff was nice and eager to answer questions, though no place tops my AD in NOVA. http://www.rolexforums.com/images/smilies/dude.gif Cheers!

I just bought my 14060M at Baron and Leeds in the Wailea shops during Christmas! I will have to look at the business card for the gal’s name, but she was real nice. I actually walked away, but after hitting a few more shops, we went back.

Maui is definitely one of the nicest places that I have ever visted.
Baron and Leeds def the best AD with the nicest SA, that I have encountered.
I got my SS daytona there.... Barbara (store manager) Sun (asian sales person) and Cathy (sales person) were all extremely nice and knowledgeble.
I hope you find what you looking for there. I am pretty sure that they are flexible with their prices too... with only 4% sales tax

Nathan, congrats on you wedding! I was there 5 months ago, if you like japanese food ya gotta go to Sensei Restaurant and sushi bar @ 5 in kehei, get reservations for 5pm, local pricing till 530pm or 6. Mommas fish house on the other side of the island has the best view. Ichiban okazuya, the best hole in the wall on the island, pull up and you'll think it's a dive, take one bite of the butter fish, you'll be back for more! True hole in the wall, 4 parking spots and one table in the back of the side parking in the back. Enjoy you honeymoon!

Congrats on the nuptials! You have to go to Mama's Fish House on the north side of Maui. One [two years in a row] of the best meals I've ever had. The menu lists where and when the fish was caught that day well as the fisherman who caught it.

A friend of mine just finished building a house in Paia just a couple of blocks from Mama's. This is his back yard, I think I hate him..........

Thanks for all of the kind words and suggestions of resturants! We have gone to a few mentioned here, and Mamas is tommorow night- so we have pretty big expectations! Then it's to Hana for a few relaxing nights and finishing things up on the big island for about a week. Don't worry- pics will come once we get settled back in the nations bitter capital!

It is a little windy this am... And there is one long cloud
in the sky----but that damn wind makes it feel like 79degrees!!!! Lol

We visited B&L in both Maui and the Big Island of Hawaii. Not sure if there are others, but both of these ADs were very kind. Hawaii is an awesome place, and the longer you can stay- the better!

So much to do, so much to see! Great weather, great food (save Mama's-BIG disappointment), great surf, tons of wild Rolexs, and awesome people- truely a slice of heaven!

... And now back to reality- nearly 30in of snow at the house with another 10+ on the way! Blahhhhhh!!! Back to Mamas for a second try????

If you have any questions about Hawaii, I'm glad to help as I'm sure others here are as well! Trust me, you will have a blast! Be sure to do a Blue Hawaian chopper tour or two- def worth it!!!

before i waste too much time trying to figure this one out, i might as well ask you...

where was this shot taken? if on maui, then that has to be the big island in the distance... or you could be on the big island looking towards maui, but it would have to be taken from a really weird location.

Yea, I am putting some watch funds aside to get back there! LOL! I found it interesting things were not much more expensive than DC. Sure, fancy and convenient things come with a premium prime, however, many things were in line with DC... yea, yea, yea, I am trying to justify going back soon- and maybe not comming back!
