After many years I took the plunge! (pictures)

After many years I finally took the plunge and bought my first Rolex. It is the same one my dad has and he has worn it every day since the 1970's. I haven't taken it off in 3 weeks except to shower, I am so impressed that I am already considering a second! Thank god I found this site I thought I was the only one with a semi obsessive Rolex problem LOL!

Get out if it's not too late.

Kidding aside, you picked a classic. Congratulations on the new watch.

What are you thinking for Rolex #2?

Very true but the lady friend probably wouldn't appreciate it in the shower as much as I might

Congrats on the new watch. Great choice

There is nothing "semi" about Rolex obsession, it just seems to grow on you, stay around this site for any length of time and you'll be out shopping for a second, then a third, and so on, and so on......

Do you know of any place in CT that has a good selection of Rolexes to look at? Any place I find that has them has 2-3 subs and nothing else.

Congratulations!

If your dad has the 1970 version, that would be the 1680! You might want to ask him to pass it down to you.

Enjoy it, love it, and give it a good wash under the tap with lukewarm water and hand soap every so often. Just remember to tighten the crown!
It's a great watch, and will bring years of enjyment to you.
Cheers ,
Carl
