I was watching the qualifing rounds for the 1500 m short track when the attention shiffted to the parents of US skater J.R. Celski during the broadcast to tell his story...

As you may or may not know, Celski cut his leg after crashing at the US Trials some 6 monhts ago... a cut that was six inches wide and two inches deep... and took 60 stitches..

On his fathers wrist looked like an 18k Day Date... could have been an 18k DJ... Not sure which

It's a great story. The Celski's live in Federal Way, and JR's mom has worked at the Safeway near my house for years. Nice lady and family.

It is a truly sad situation. I can go in to Canada but can't get back into the US of A because I don't have a pass port. The East Rutherford Jets played the Bills in "The Rogers Centre" and I could not go.

J.R. Celski's Dad, Bob, is a West Point Classmate of mine, Class of 1978. I sent him a note last night, asking what kind of Rolex he has..I suspect he might be a tad busy in Canada these days, but when he answers I'll let you know.

NBC is doing a profile on J.R. on 24 Feb. If you want to really find out about him, you can go to his website at www.jrcelski.com

I had thought about that but like it better in the original perspective. The turned and enlarged foto looks ok too but it has lost a bit of the sharpness of the original one and the perspective is less clear.

Thank you very mutch. Photo skills I wouldn't realy call it just a lot of patience and a steady hand. The great thing about digital camera's is that you can take tons of pictures with most turning out bad just to find one good one in there. In the old days this would have been way to mutch work and way to expensive. Funny thing is that I took the shot with my Nokia N95 cell phone in the Macro position and with the flash turned off.
