outright counterfeit.......

seller a-playergolf ( 767)

You are bidding on a remake of the Rolex Explorer 2. MINT condition. Like new.

If you like the looks of high end watches but can't justify the expense, this may just be the ticket.

High quality Japanese Automatic movement.
Hack mechanism (second hand stops when crown is pulled out to set the time – standard feature on all genuine Rolex watches). Functional 4th GMT hand – Fully independently adjustable, and can be used to tell time in a second time zone.
Sapphire crystal watchglass.
Screws in the links, not pins.
Rolex logo etched at 6 o′clock position on watch dial.
Rubber seal at trip-lock winding crown.
Serial band/number on last link/lugs.
Fliplock oyster bracelet, steelinox clasp, serial number on clasp.
Magnified quick-set date at 3 o′clock position.
Full Stainless Steel band/case, and will never fade or wear.
Solid back with characteristic Rolex green hologram sticker.
Screw-in watch crown.
Luminescent hour markers/hands.
All the appropriate Rolex markings in the correct places.

Take a look at the high res pics. This is a great looking watch.

Yes it is not a Rolex and the seller tells those with the eyes to see it is just that. Of course 99 and 44/100% of the buyers will not have a clue and it only takes one to pay $8,050.00 for a $50 watch to make his month. One a month gives one $80,000.00 a year with little or no tax libilaty.

Earl, come to the dark side; eBay is your father.

Nice touch. Fake is a better word.

Isn't this copyright infringement or something?

Everyone is criticizing the seller for being a crook, which it does not seem is the case, given his pretty clear admission/advertisement that what he is selling is not real, but i thought eBay did not allow fakes to be sold with the Rolex name on them?

Selling counterfeit goods is both copyright infringement and illegal. Whether or not the seller admits what he is doing or if he is ignorant of the fact it is still illegal.

ebay do not appear to check every single one of the ads listed on their site and no, counterfeit goods and copyright infringement is not allowed according to their terms and conditions.

Once informed of a breach they should remove the offending listing....
