Fair Price for a Rolex Seadweller 16600, circa 1997
I have been offered one for $4500. Is that a good price? The watch is in excellent condition.

Box & papers? Recent service? My first reaction is it might be a tad high, depending on the answers to the preceding questions. Check the for sale forum for some recent sale prices.

I recently sold a D-Serial Seadweller, with box and papers, just serviced by Rolex for $4200. In my opinion $4500 is too high. Shoot for around $4000 or less.

$3,700ish would be about right. With no box or papers, you might be able to get it for a little less. That price is DEFINITELY too high.

I can help you get a used one
Was offered one similar no box or papers but a decent watch ! Belongs to my watchmaker "T" serial and has been looked after. Price $3,800 not $4,500.- (For $4,500 he has a 16622 large size steel & Platinum Yachmaster) Rest assured Sea-dweller prices are going up...and rightly so because in my opinion the SD was, is and will always be... a true Rolex sport diving classic wristwatch... |
