Watch Straps for Rolex

Is there a sub-forum or section here that focuses on Rolex watch straps?
I see Panerai has a sub-forum specializing watch straps and accessories. How about Rolex?

Well most of the Rolex range comes on S.Steel bracelets like the oyster etc. Some of the gold models like the Daytona do come on special fitting straps. Most Panerai models come with strap leather or rubber, but for Rolex the choice of strap is down to you as any 19mm to 20mm will do.There is no special straps made for the Rolex range, unlike the Panerai range. Except FOR like the gold Daytona, and Cellini etc so IMHO no need for a strap forum.

very much interested in changing the strap of my AK (once i get a sports rolex of course)... this would then get formal party duties instead of daily beater... planned to get one on the celini so it would still be a rolex strap but always wondered if they had the same size? but i'm digressing... hehehe!
good point though for not having a special sub section for rolex straps / bracelets..

I'm sendng my Oyster Fliplock Bracelet in for tightening soon and would love to see pictures of the Submariner on different watch straps (i.e. leather, rubber, etc.). Anyone have any suggestions on brands? The Sub Bracelet will be gone for 6 weeks so I'm looking for a temporary fix. Thanks.

I wear my Sub on straps when I'm trying to 'dress it down' - visiting a blue collar company or situation, or working outside in the yard.

I have black nylon, black rubber deploy and a neato curved end blue leather.

Just because Rolex released it into the wild in one configuration doesn't make it the Holy Writ.

Hi Nat, hope you don't mind my asking but what kind of black rubber strap (with deployable clasp) do you have? I'm thinking of going this direction since my Sub goes with me everywhere, especially in the water. I'd love to see pics if possible. Thank you in advance.

Hi Rick,

Sorry - my computer crashed and burned a month ago and I don't have a good pic. There are a trillion good choices out there - mostly in the $30-$40 range - just do a search. I can't recall which I have -

Rolex strap-lovers don't have formal recognition yet. We're here though, waiting, lurking, biding our time. Don't be afraid--you're not alone. Every day we quietly increase our numbers from within, getting stronger by the week.

Tudor?

I was wondering if the same largely applied to Tudor? I have a vintage Oyster Prince that I love, but I'm not crazy about the original Rolex bracelet that's on it. It has a tight taper from 19mm to 8mm that makes it feel a little too "dainty" for my liking. I would love to keep it on a Rolex bracelet, but am not sure what my options are.

Think we need a sub-forum for rolex bands and straps

I see so many variations of bracelets and straps on the forum.

I'm looking for an Gen. Alligator strap for my EXP 2 and my Sub.
Also, Authentic Rolex Croc strap for my 1601's.

In my experience with leather straps over the passed decade or so with many
retailers and that included Rolex. There branded straps are no better quality that say straps from Hirsch .And would doubt if Rolex makes there own leather straps for retail.

I have a Hirsch now and they seem like a nice strap. What is the word on Hadley Roma? I am looking to outfit my rolex watches with genuine alligator. I have two 1601's, a Submariner and a EXP2. The EXP2 and Sub I am looking for Alligator in 20mm from lug to buckle, and the 1601's with a 16mm buckle. I don't know many brands that would be considered high end, but looking for something very nice to match the quality of the Rolex brand. I've spent hours searching the net, ebay, etc. And can't seem to find the strap im looking for at a reasonable price.
I've done a search here in the forums, and turn up nothing.
My search will continue..

I really like the look of the nylon straps on the sport models, esp. the GMT. Which nylon straps fit and is there a particular brand that you prefer?

Pics are welcome too.

20mm NATO are what most use. My two sources are squinky.com and ClockworkSynergy.com Both are on eBay. Do a search for 20mm NATO strap.
