I have seen this here and there the last couple of days and it has really made me look twice at the Explorer model. I have not owned a Rolex for a while now but I may just be picking one up soon... JJ's excellent review of his also helped as well LOL

They decided to withdraw this explorer at the last moment it will feature in 2011. there was an article on the internet about this.

How about we issue a class law suit against Rolex for $1zillion for stooging us. Then take over the company and make this watch a 2010 release and give every member of the forum a free piece

Sorry Steve--that doesn't work for me. I already have an Exp-II that is objectively and conclusively the best watch ever made, so I have no use for the "upgraded" Exp-II. And if everyone on TRF had one already, who would I sell it to?

(Note: make mine a 36mm Explorer or a 16710 and you have my full support.)

Beautiful, good thing they didn't SUPERCASE it, but I wish they added a Triplock crown.

I am guessing that the last minute pull back of the new Explorer II, may be, it is the best among the other new releases therefore its introduction this year slow down the sales of the new 3s. I personally wouldgo for the new Explorer II first, Black Sub next and would need to look at the Green Sub and Explorer I in person before saving up for these 2.
