Watch Appraisal...(Need Help!!)
This is my first thread, so forgive me if it's in the wrong section. I just have one question. I purchased a Milgauss from one of the TRF members and I need to get it appraised. I went to a AD in Santa Barbara and they informed that I needed the warranty card to proceed with the appraisal because it has "all the pertinent information".
I'm going back this week with the card, but I was unsure if the AD would "frown" on the fact that the card shows the original owner's name and not name. Should that be a problem??? Thanks in advance for your assistance. |

Not a problem... and they should be able to do it without the card. The AD is just thinking you stole it or something like that.. (like they never steal the watches with the boxes and cards)
He could have just taken the bracelet and check the serial.. open up the case and look at the movement... not a huge thing for an "experienced" AD. Good luck..

Welcome to TRF Rick!
They should have no problem evaluating the watch with someone else's name on the card. I think I know the AD you're speaking about (on State St.?) and they're VERY unwilling to do anything other than sell you a new watch. |
