newby question about a datejust bracelet 3 point crown
Hi there, I m an absolute newby when it comes to Rolex watches so please go easy on me :)
I have been trying to find some info for a while and have had no luck. My search has led me to this forum. I have been offered a gold rolex oyster perpetual datejust in lieu of money owed to me. The watch itself appears to be real. I have found many useful articles on determining if it is fake and have concluded it is most likely real. The bracelet however I'm not so sure. In fact if I were a gambling man I would say it is a fake. Instead of the 5 point crown which appears on every rolex - real and fake, the bracelet has a 3 point crown. My question is has anybody ever seen anything like this ? Unfortunately I don't have a picture to post. I can possibly ask to get it back to take some pics but thought I would just ask the question for now. Many thanks |

Tell him to sell the watch and give you the cash.
That way it doesn't matter.

If he is willing to let you have the watch for a couple of days, take it to an authorized Rolex dealer and have them take a look at it. Thats the surest way to know whats what.

Rolex does not use a 3 point crown.

Even with pictures is is difficult to say what is or is not real. As for the three point crown most likely fake but Rolex has licensed third parties to make some odd looking bands.
A quick check manually advance the time and the date should snap to the next about midnight. |
