I was in Syms (discount retailer "where the educated consumer is our best customer") at E. 54th St. in NYC last week and went to look at their new jewelry department. They had three "previously loved" Rolexes for 25% off list price. They asked if I wanted to see one of them outside the case -- I told them 'no', I'll just enjoy my "currently loved" Rolex (SS GMT IIc) and held out my wrist. The clerk's eyes grew wide in admiration.
