Icon7 Houston GTG Highlights - Rides & Rolexs

Hi Gang,

A freak rain storm moved in overnight, but it didn't dampen the hardcore car and Rolex enthusiasts.

A big thanks to AutumnBahn for bringing out the caravan of BMW's and Aston Martin to the show, along with HPA with their 650HP VW R32, a 750HP Dodge Viper, a couple of Porsche's and a vintage '79 450SL....and lets not forget a '67 Shelby Mustang. Now this is hardcore and not letting a bit of roadspray stop from driving such fine machines!

Here at the store we had 100 Rolex's on display, from a 1947 Rolex Oyster Chronograph "Pre-Daytona" to late model Submariner's & Sea Dwellers. A large selection of stainless and 2-tone Datejusts on hand. ...And yes, we even sold a few!

We wowed the Rolex and Car crowd with our choice of colored crocodile leather bands, our diamond bezel accessories...and most of all our vast knowledge of the Rolex market and friendly customer service. Many know of us, but have never stopped by. We received so many great comments on our selection to our knowledge of the brand we've come to love!

Everyone in attendance were welcome with a large menu of goodies from Texas BBQ Brisket, to homemade flautas and salsa to die for. Fresh shrimp, oysters on ice to an array of cheeses, dips, chips...and to wash it all down...Chardonnay, Cabernet, Bud Light, Corona's, Sodas and H20.

We had a great crowd and at times a little hectic as so many were interested in our vintage pieces. Especially our 1969 2-tone GMT Master in root beer.

Brad Schweiss the owner of Houston Gold Exchange and myself extends a big thank you to all TRF members who stopped by and to the car enthusiasts who didn't let a little rain keep them in the garage.

Look for another great event this Fall!

Here are a few photos to wet your appetite. More will follow soon.

PS. Paul, thanks for helping with the parking of the cars!!

...and I thought for sure someone would have mentioned the Daytona's.

We had a great time. With me running around alot, it was hard to shake all the hands and greet each and every person.

...the 'hood ornament' was courtesy of AutumnBahn Show who brought most of the European iron. The Ferrari's and Lambo's who had RSVP'd were afraid of the rain. lol

Donald I don't remember seeing that blonde in the shop when Melanie and I were down visiting... What display case is she residing in?

I mean your a nice guy and all, but I think she would have convinced me to buy a few more watches!

The watches were being worn...as many had Submariner's and Yachtmaster's. The 750HP Viper owner wore a 18K Yachtmaster with a white dial. I noticed a Submariner LV, a Cartier Roadster worn by the owner of the Aston Martin and other makes thrown in the mix.

As for the blonde, she is a model. The CEO of AutumnBahn Show brought her in. Her name is Yvette and she's a sweetheart. We had fun!

...now Cayenne, as far as the 'case' she was in when you were here...Can I say Vault?

We are planning another event in the Fall, and have already started on a list of things for that particular event. I look for the next one to be even bigger!!
