There are a few manufacturers around, but Mr. Preik makes a very good one and he is known to be honest and pleasant to work with..

Are these clear backs generally accepted by the forum? Seems to make it a franken in a way...

It's very nice to look at though

A Frankenwatch is a watch made up of parts and pieces from other watches resulting in one that isn't "quite right". (Ask Jocke about these.. )

An aftermarket part is no different than a NATO on a Sub........ (Almost all NATO's are actually replicas....)

(disclaimer)
Now.......... before some folks get their blood pressure up, and their britches in a bunch..........Replicas, fakes and counterfeits are illegal and in poor taste and such discussion not allowed on a gentlemans forum... aftermarket parts are little more than customization and not intended to deceive or defraud.... A Rolex is not a purebred puppy....... it's just a watch....

Yes, that is one of my my personal Daytonas......... and I have the How-to over in the Reference Library..

Any watchmaker can do the job.......... it's just like unscrewing one lid, and installing another... and you want the watchmaker to do a presssure check so you know that it is still waterproof............
