Question re: water + missing pearl in my bezel insert

The bezel insert on my SS Sub is missing the pearl at the 0" mark. I've been avoiding swimming/showering with it on because of the open hole - I feel like it would fill up with water and then not completely dry out.

I'm working on getting a new bezel insert, but any opinions on this in the mean time? Should I continue to avoid fully immersing it in water, or not worry about it?

Thanks in advance.

Don't worry about it.......... there is nothing under that bezel dot that doesn't get wet with or without it............

Interesting! The bezel under the insert isn't waterproof, with or without the pearl?

There is nothing waterproof about the bezel........ It's just a metal ring that snaps onto the top of the watch...........

Actually, the way to clean the gunk that builds up under and inside it is running it under hot water, using plenty of dish soap, and rotating it until all the stuff is cleaned out.........

Gotcha... Just to be completely clear, I'm referring to the space UNDER the insert. Is there a hollow area between the insert itself and the interior of the bezel? I feel like without the pearl water could get in there and slosh around...

The space under the insert is hollow, but it is not a channel, it is a ring....... there is nothing there and it is completely open on the bottom... the entire bezel just sits there and much more water will get underneath it and come out the bezel hole than would ever get in the hole and come out the bottom.......

The bezel and the case are two separate things... Two parts that are not together
