New watch on the way...it's in the air!

I travel a lot and looked high and low at GMT's. Wanted something with a dive bezel since I like to scuba when I can. I quickly ruled out a GMT II...I really like them but they don't do anything for me to distinguish from my SD...I wanted something a little different and not as expensive as the SD when I'm on the road.

SOOOOOOOOoooooo...got the word from the AD today that the watch is in and shipping. Should be here tomorrow! Pix to follow soon! I'm really excited!

Thus, in the spirit of tag_addict...guesses as to what it is!?

It's a gmt...another hint...non-rolex. I thought I wanted a GMT II but after looking at them in person I just wanted something cheaper and that didn't look so much like my SD.

Big congrats! I had one of those and wish I'd kept it. The co-axial movement is crazy accurate. Beautifull watch that's very functional and has a lot of wrist presence. You did GOOD!!!

Thanks...I saw it in person last month. Didn't jump on it and it was gone in less than an hour. It's really beautiful in person. The sapphire back is a nice bonus!

Thanks! Oh, nice pic! That is absolutely one of the few pix I've seen that does the blue smp gmt justice. Why'd you get rid of it?!

Charles, I moved it to fund a vintage Rolex purchase. (We all have our weakness LOL!)
It was a great watch! As I recall +1 sec a day, and crown down it lost the second.

Understandable! :) Good to hear on the timing...I'm spoiled by my SD tho...+0 sec/day!

It was definitely a tough choice! It came down to the SMP, GMTII and a Sinn. I ruled out the GMTII since I didn't want something that looked so much like my SD. And then I saw the SMP in person and said forget the Sinn.

I sure as hell wish my Sub had a clasp like that. I *love* the Omega clasps. The one on the Sub just seems so inferior -- even to a Seiko or something. Oh well, it's awesome once it's on your wrist, so I guess that's all that truly matters. :)

I own a Co-axial Seamaster-Bond Style. Great watch and very accurate.

Thanks everyone! Supposedly it's "On the truck for delivery"...what a lousy day for a "snowstorm" in NC (anything over 1/4" causes panic on the streets). I'll definitely post some pix when it arrives! Great shots Aaron! Who knows...I may move it for a GMT II someday but I really wanted something a little different from my SD for now.
