Pam 359

A (brief) video of the 359 I came across on youtube...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vJocdlogq6I

Not sure if I like the all-polished 1950 case...

Cheers

I'm not sure why this model is needed - unless the 164 is being dropped ...?

Cheers

im thinking the same on the 355- since there is the 98.. they just cleaned the dail up a by removing the tramline even still houses the same GP calibre .... and the SE 00029 - since there is the pam23 ... homages as the 127/249 i understand but this to me seems just a little to easy..... MHO..

Hmmmmmm,have to disagree a bit here ..... I LIKE IT !!!

Polished 44mm 1950s case.I prefer polished SS.
Nice open and inviting dial.Arabic numericals are interesting.Font size right and the dial look more balanced compared to a 312.The numericals are a beige luminous material,so is the material on the minute and hour hand with the 9/6/12 the "normal" colour. This will be a nice contrasting dial.

Worried about bling ?? How about a nice Kevin Ammo to tone things down ?? This watch will look fantastic on the wrist !

Black calf with ecru stitch as stock OEM .....Hmmmmm,not my preference, would have enjoyed a Golden Brown Gator !!

Jury's still out for me. I'll have to see it in real life first. I wasn't so sure about the strap though. I know you can change it easy enough, however, a nice aligator would look better.

for me theres a tad too much numbers in the dial and that unique non-cyclops date gets lost :(

but i am not hating on it, just my preference. But you know what they say... you never know till you try it on :)

Good point Chris - the right strap will make all the difference

Good point,I like the pics, maybe I hate it in the metal. Have happened before, had first option on a 28L ......but just did not do it for me when I finally had it in hand.

Just got my PAM 359

It is a beautiful watch - the polished case is absolutely stunning.

My only complaint is that it is actually not very luminous - which I find disappointing considering the company's history. My Breitling blows this away in Luminosity.

It's very bright after direct light, but it looses brightness very quickly and the smaller numbers are somewhat difficult to make out in low light conditions.

The hands and large arabic numbers read relatively easy - but again - I'd expect more from a Panerai with luminosity.

BTW - it is VERY comfortable on the wrist...ergonomically, it's a fantastic watch!

Perhaps they traded some luminosity for that 'aged' look?

Btw - welcome! Do you have any pics of your watch?

I personally love the look of the 359. My AD thinks he'll have one around Oct and will be calling when he gets it! :)

the 359 has the aged Lum that is on the 339 and the 341..very cool...
and I never thought I would say it but the polished takes the 1950 case to a different (IMHO) better place...
PIX pls!

No for me I am afraid - I think both the 312 and the 351 top this just for looks and wearability. It is an absolute scratch magnet but I am sure it will make some buyers very happy.
