ROLEX SUBMARINER REF. 5517 Long E
http://cgi.ebay.com/ROLEX-SUBMARINER...item4ceeebcbd1
We are going to need several opinions on this one. The "E" appear to be long, due to the angle of the photo it makes for a difficult view on the lettering. |

You are right Frank, its a close call on this one given the angles.
The condition of the case looks almost too good for its age and the rehaut looks to be quite shiny, or is it lit too brightly..... It is a shame that there are no pictures from the rear of the watch showing the crown guards. probably on purpose. buddy Orchi where are you?? |

here we go........
The numbers on the back of the case are unique to each watch. They relate to the quarter masters stock list, date and issue number. In which case this listing is showing a fake, case back shown here has identical numbers and is from our well know scammers site. The one in the listing obviously roughed up a little to age it. Also incorrect is the bezel, the 5517 was only ever issued with a full 60 minute bezel insert. $20k is also way too cheap. seller agalia-1860 ( 165) Now all we have to do is get rid of it. |

The back of the case crown guards would have helped to determine the case being a non Rolex product, however like you said the photos are not showing it for a reason. Thanks for jolting my memory about the caseback, I should have seen that one big sign it was not real, I must be getting old. :)
