Case tube thread size?

I have a 6536 submariner and I am going to replace the 7mm crown that came with the watch with an 8mm crown. Does anyone know the outer thread size for the 8mm crown tube?

I don't know the sizes, but usually the crown and the tube are replaced at the same time..

Early cases may need the tube hole reamed out and retapped for the larger threaded tubes..

Replacing the early twinlock crowns with triplocks on Subs was pretty common, but the tube assembly is completely different...

Yes I will be replacing a 7mm crown with a 8mm crown is what I am going to try to accomplish. Everyone I have spoken with has told me I need to replace the crown tube. Which is larger thatn the original for the 7mm. I am not sure what die to purchase to retappthe hole. any help would be appreciared.

Check with Otto Frei and Jules Borel sites on watchmaker tools.. (there are others too)

go to the Rolex specific tools and find the taps for tubes and crowns... they are pretty tiny and very fine thread........
