Icon20 First time poster: Anyone use Loctite on their bracelet?

In response to a poster who almost lost his GMT when a screw came out of his bracelet, who uses Loctite on their bracelet screws?

If so, how do you apply it? Can you get the screws out without a torch if you want to adjust the bracelet again? Perhaps the lighter loctite 222?

Thanks,
Justin

BTW: first post! Long time timezoner, but loving the Rolex Forums! I've owned a deep sea, Pepsi/Coke GMT II, explorer II, LV, sub in the past, just recently sold my AP ROO panda, and going to move on to the Sub-C when it comes out this fall! Also been into Panerai's in the past as well, 88/233...

CBH,
The lowest strength Loctite is enough. Use only enough to cover the threads.
Welcome to TRF and lets see that collection.
WE LOVE PICS!!!!

I would use the blue loctite. Just a little dab at the edge of the screws is enough.

Clear nail polish works as well, I have used it on scope mounts as well.

I would apply a tiny little drop into the threaded hole of the link first. Then align the links, push the screw through and screw it.

If you dip the screw into the Loctite first you are risking spreading it as you push it through the links which can make your link joint stiff when it sets.

Welcome to TRF! I use Loctite 222 MS. Only needed to use it on one of my Rolexes, but I really should use it on all.

I put a very, very tiny amount just on the threads.
