Crocs n Snakes... (modem warning)

UPDATE:

So it's been just about a blissful 1 month of ownership of my first and only PAM 193. And yes, I do still experience moments of guilt at how much pleasure I derive from this hunk of a watch (and how sad my Breitlings must feel!).

Having worn it 24/7 for 4 weeks, I cannot overstate how comfortable the 193 is on my 6-3/4" wrist. For anyone concerned about the size & thickness, I urge you to lay aside your fears. All this PAM does is to gently remind you that you're the guy lucky enough to wear such an amazing watch!

Along the way I did change the straps a few times (sometimes daily; usually twice a day), and at one time I was seriously concerned that I mustta wore-off a couple of my lug threads...

But even in this short period, I do realize the importance of getting more out of my 15 straps each and every time I wear them, to better resist buying more and thus preserve my happy marriage.

So please indulge me as I share some of my amateur staging & pics of my Crocs n Snakes...

Thanks for viewing! -- Calf straps next time...

Awesome pics!!

Great selection of straps!
Can totally see why you would want to change straps twice a day!!... with every strap change a total transformation!

WOW!!!

I love the watch, but as a self confessed strap fiend, I find some of your straps even more drool worthy. One of the best threads I've seen in ages due to you collection of straps.

Those two fish tail straps are simply stunning!!! Who made those for you?

I used to be a bit lukewarm about Panerai's but now I'm completely sold. They are THE watch that can pull off all manner of weird and wonderful strap designs.

The 193 and 307 look very similar. What's the finer differences between the 2?

The 307 has a dark blue face and a nice back engravings tribute to Mike Horn and his Pangea expedition. I believe the 307 is also L lumed -- although the dial says "T" -- since it's a 2008 model, when Panerai stopped using Tritium completely (I could be wrong) -- while the older 193 is still Tritium-lumed.

But the most meaningful difference to me is that the 307 is a Special Edition "Watch", while the 193 is actually categorized as a "Professional Instrument" according to Panerai...
