I found something to quench my thirst for a new Rolex... :D
I have it on hold... I have to get the funds from the watches I've sold to get it... BTW: It's a Hommage... (don't kill me) But It's something that will hold my thirst for a GMT-IIC

Well, It's made by Pernis. All Stainless Steel, 40MM Case. Oyster Bracelet with Clasp, has a Sapphire Crystal. It says it's water resistant down to 30M. Has an 2813 Auto Movement (chinese maybe?). The GMT hand can be set independently

Looks good, Gab.
Although I don't think it will quench your thirst for a II-C. If anything, it might make the yearning stronger.

I have an OWC on order that uses the supercase/bracelet and Cerachrom. It has a nice snowflake dial and handset.

Your call obviously Gaby mate but IMHO you've had a Rolex & no "hommage" is going to satisfy that yearning......
Anything you buy now (that's NOT the "Real McCoy") is just wasting money that could be put towards your NEW Rolex. Either way though buddy it's your money so I sincerely hope you're happy whichever route you choose..... I'd just suggest you think long & hard before parting with any of your hard earned cash.

Hey Gaby, I was looking at that same GMT homage. I think I'm gonna buy one within the month so I'll tell you how it is. I have 3 panerai homages from Parnis and all three are extremely high quality and keep very well time.
I can post pictures of my Parnis' if you want... |

Yep. I'll post the pictures tonight. They are really nice for their price and I wouldn't hesitate to get the GMT. Btw, the same place also has a deepsea and submariner as well as others. I like the GMT the best since I'm a "pilot"

Gaby mate I'm not trynna 'nag' or 'preach' to you.....
I just know that once I had (& sold) my Rolex everything in between selling it & getting my GMTIIc was just 'filler' & effectively wasting cash. I honestly don't mean any disrespect to anyone who does wear 'hommages'..... I'm a great believer in "each to his own" & after all it's you guys money & you guys watches..... I just (think that I) know how much you miss your Datejust & IMO you'd be far better off buying a (perhaps 'plain & simple') but nevertheless original & genuine DJ. Just my two pen'north Gabs.... do whatever works for you my young friend.

Bud,
I suggest you just wait till you have enough or when you get a good deal on a used one. Although homages are close enough to "most" people to being the real thing, you'll know it's not, thereby making the urge worse - they're absolutely right in saying that. Trust me, after having gone through that with knives, guitars, watches, motorcycles, you're far far better off just saving for what you want. Never settle for less. If you do, I suggest you find yourself another hobby because the One you want will keep on messing with your head until you get it - a different hobby will at least get your mind thinking of another thing.

What will Barbara say when you're out having dinner and she sees a homage on your wrist...you know she likes the real deal
I agree with others here....save up for what you really want...don't be tempted by short term satisfiers....the gmt will just cost you more if you go this route.....keep chipping away Or...get it...either way I'll be happy for you Gab
