Just Joined the Group, first time buying Rolex, a Milgauss GV

Hello everyone,
I just joined the group tonight after purchasing my very first Rolex - Milaguss GV. I wanted to purchase the submariner green bezel but AD informed me that Milaguss would hold vaule in long run(?) also, I liked the style as well.
Did I make correct choice? I also purchased the U-Boat Classico AB 45M and I loved this watch as well.

Just wanted to say hello and please let me know what you think about GV along with my U Boat watches I bought.. take care..

Welcome and congrats on two great watches.

NEVER listen to an AD regarding what watch will hold it's value or not. They might be pushing a watch that they can't move.

NEVER buy a watch with the hopes that it will be worth something more in the future. Buy what you like. If it worth more in the future, then that is a plus.

The Milgauss is a beautiful watch. Wear it and enjoy it and forget the resale value.

You will learn a lot here from the experts (I am not one of them by far).

Wow, fast response!! thanks guys...yeah, I think Im going to keep the watch for very long time...hopefully will pass it on to my son one day. I had it for about 10 days and wore about twice...since I bought the U Boat watch, I m wearing that one more and keeping GV in nice and safe. Again, thank you very much for nice warm welcome comments!!

I love my GV. Enjoy yours in good health. I always buy a watch because I like it and not as an investment. You'll never go wrong if you like the watch first.

Congratulations and welcome. Personally, I buy and hold watches because I love them. I hope you love your GV. I read something on this forum which was to the effect, "If you want to make a million dollars on watches start with two million".

I can't comment on the U-Boat watch because I've never seen it but the GV is certainly one of Rolex's best new offerings in recent years - congrats and welcome!
