Found my "G spot" - show me yours
I'm planning some fun outdoor trips this summer for the family. I wear my DD most of the time, but not during outdoor activities.
I've had a Timex Expedition for about 15 years and it's served me well... from such things as hop-scotching through lava flows in Hawaii, hiking across glaciers in Alaska and enjoying the surf in Cancun. For quite some time I've been drawn to the Casio G-Shock watch line. I guess it's the "rugged" appearance. Or maybe it's that it looks like a "transformers" robot toy. I went ahead and got the cheapest one I could find. Even my wife thinks it's cool. Anybody else like these? (show pics - I know there are different models)

Cool - does that one set by radio? ("multi-band" makes me think so)

Yes, it is quite satisfying to see it spot on with the time pips.

The G's are fun, I have 3 of them....I'll post up when I get home. I want to see if I can find my Father's old one, he literally wore the protective rubber case off of it...we got him a new one, and that one's getting beat up too.

That's cool - looks like a high-end compass.
Love the design of the hands.

I think G-Shocks are just down-to-earth, well made, honest watches. I don't own one myself, but a friend of mine has a Mudman, and it looks great, a proper tool watch for the modern day

It has been said that one is usually very happy upon finding one's G-Spot.
Plus, you always know when it's time !

I love G's, and have four of them. Here's three:
DW-5600E GW-9100 G-9100 I also have an old G-2900. No matter what anyone says, G-Shocks are excellent watches and represent huge bang-for-your buck value. That and you can beat the bejeebers out of 'em and they keep on going. |

This is my DW-5600. I bought it from a PX when I first joined the Army in 1990. I was in the Infantry 11B Mudborne so it has been through the wringer. I was happy to find it about 6 months ago in a box in my basement I put a new battery in and it fired up like brand new. Part of the bezel has broken off there are replacements available so I will order one at some point.
